Veg Cutlet



Ingredients :
4-5 mashed Potatoes
1 cup frozen vegetables ( carrot , green peas , corn ,string beans)
1/4 cumin seeds
1 tsp of oil
1/4 tsp of Red Chili powder
1/4 tsp of Coriander powder
Salt to Taste
1/4 Garam Masala
1-2 cup of Bread Crumbs
1/2 cup Maida (All purpose Flour)


Directions :
1)Boil potatoes and mash it.
2) Semi grind the frozen vegetables
3)In a pan take oil ,add cumin seeds and the vegetables.
4)Add above mentioned masala and salt to taste.
5)Saute it till there is a dry mixture left.
6)Add this mixture to mashed potatoes and mix well.
7)Mix All purpose flour with water and make thin paste of it.
8)Make small burger / cutlet shape patties and dip it quickly in the paste made in Step 7.
9)Coat it with bread crumbs and press it lightly again with your hands so that the bread crumbs sticks properly.
10)Deep fry it.

Serve it with tomato ketchup :)
You can also use same mixture to make burger and serve it with bun and vegetables.

Steamed Peanuts!


Directions:
1)Take shelled peanuts ,remove it in a cooker add water till the Peanuts are soaked properly.
2)Add generous amount of salt and turmeric powder and cook it for 5-6 whistles
3)Once cooked remove the shells and serve it warm.



Daal Makhani!


Ingredients :
2 cup whole black urad daal
1/4 cup rajma
1/2 cup tomato puree
1/2 finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic
corrainder for garnish
2 pinch of cumin seeds
1/4 turmeric powder
1 tsp rajma masala
1/4 garam masala , red chilli powder and turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tsp powder


Direction:
1)Soak the daal and rajma for 5-6 hours and pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles.
2)In a pan take oil ,add cumin seeds ,garlic paste ,onion saute it for a while.
3)Add tomato puree and cook for few minutes.
4)Add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,rajma masala powder ,garam masala ,salt and mix it well.
5)Add the cooked daal
6)Add 2-3 tsp of butter and cook it for few minutes.

Serve with Roti or Jeera Rice.


Aloo ki Sabji


Ingredients :
4-5 Big potatoes
1/4 tsp of cumin and mustard seeds
pinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
pinch of red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Corrainder leaves to Garnish
2-3 tsp of oil

Directions:
1)In a pan pour 2-3 tsp of oil.
2)Add mustard seed ,once it sputters add cumin seeds and asafoetida
3)Add cut potato and saute it for a while.
4)Cover it for few minutes till it is half cook.
5)Then cook it on medium flame without covering it
6)Add all masala's and salt mentioned above and mix it well.

Serve with Roti.
