Paneer mutter Mahanwala!!


Ingredients :


300 grams paneer
1tsp red chili powder
1tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp kasori methi (crushed)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup green peas
1 cup milk
1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
2 tsp tomato ketchup
5 tsp tomato puree
3 tsp onion chopped
Butter for tempering
water according to measurement given below.
1/4 tsp cumin seeds

Directions:

  • In an bowl add kasori methi,red chili powder,coriander powder,garam masala,turmeric powder,tomato ketchup,tomato puree and heavy whipping cream and 1/2 cup of water.Allow it to mix for around 30 mintues.
  • Side by side you can deep fry paneer(1 inch cubes) until light brown.
  • In a pan take some butter add cumin seeds to it,once it sputter's add finely chopped onion and saute it till its brown and has nice aroma.
  • Then add the mixture made in step 1 ,cover it and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.Stir occasionally.
  • Once you see the butter leaving the gravy,add milk little by little(mix when you pour milk in small quantities-so that it does not get affected due to acidic things in the gravy)
  • Finally add paneer and green peas to it & cover it and let it simmer for another 3 minutes.
You can garnish it with corrainder leaves.
Serve it with Naan or puri.

Mango Matho!!!


Here is a quick recipe to make mango matho,its easy to make.

Ingredients :

8 cups of yogurt
1 can of Mango pulp
1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
pinch of saffron
pinch of cardamom powder

Directions :

  • Take a muslin cloth ,pour the yogurt into it and tie and hang it in such a way that all the water drips out of the yogurt. (Take 3-4 hours)
  • Mix pulp ,yogurt(after draining water) ,cardamom and finally saffron.
Chill it in the refrigerator for few hours and eat it with puri.

Peanut Ladoooo's !!!!


Ingredients:

1/2 cup jaggery
3-4 tsp ghee
1 cup crushed peanuts.

Directions :

Take some ghee in a pan...add jaggery and heat it till it melts.
Once the jaggery melts add crushed peanuts and remove it from the flame.
Make small balls out of it and its ready to eat:)

Taco Salad!!!!

Ingredients :
For Beans ::
1 Can of baked beans
1/2 packet of taco seasoning.
2 tsp cheese(spreadable)
3/4 tsp sour cream
2-3 tsp of salsa(medium /hot)


For topping :
1 cup chopped lettuce
1/2 cup capsicum + tomato
1/4 cup grates carrot
1-2tsp onion
1/4 cup Taco cheese

Directions :

1) Mix Beans,taco seasoning ,sour cream,cheese and salsa in a pan and mix it well.
After cooking for 4-5 minutes turn the grill/flame off and let it cool.




2)Take a flat bowl and spread a thick layer of the cooked beans and then make layer of the cut vegetables i.e Capsicum,tomato,onion and then lettuce.
Sprinkle shredded cheese for more flavor :).

Serves 2-3 people.
Eat with tortilla chips.

Banana Dazzler


Here is how you can make banana dazzler in a simple way...which has become favorite desert of my hubby :)

Ingredients :

Serves 2
1 banana
50 gm grapes
50 gm strawberry
few cashew nuts and raisins
1 -2 pieces of dried fig (optional)
around 3-4 scoops of Vanilla ice-cream
whipped cream
chocolate syrup
cherry



Directions :

1)Take a long glass(depends on how many layers of ice-cream you want : ) ) ,drop a scoop of ice-cream as first layer in the glass then add grapes,again layer of ice-cream then strawberry(missing in my dazzler today),ice-cream then banana with cashew nuts ,raisins and fig..then last layer of ice-cream.

2)Once the glass if full with layers...put some whipped cream,chocolate syrup and top it up with a cherry.

Tava Pulav

This is a quick recipe of making pulav using left over bhaji(of Pav Bhaji).

Ingredients:

2 cups left over bhaji(made for pav bhaji)
2 cups of cooked rice
1 whole chopped onion(cut vertically)
50 grams Green peas
1 tsp mustard seeds
pinch of Asafoetida
3tsp oil

Directions:

1) Pour some oil in a pan and once hot add mustard seeds and add asafoetida.
Then add onion & Green peas saute it till its the onion turns brown .




2)Add bhaji to above mixture and mix it well.




3)Then after 3-5 minutes add the cooked rice in it and again mix it thoroughly.

Garnish it with Coriander/Cilantro leaves and tomato and serve hot.

Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies Chiwda

Ingredients:

1/2 box Rice Krispies
1/2 box Corn Flakes
150 grams peanuts
100 grams raisin
75 grams Cashew nuts
7-8 chopped chillies(optional)
7-8 curry leaves

For Tempering:
1tsp or less sesame seeds
1 tsp or less mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp dhaniya powder(corrainder powder)



Directions :
Fry peanuts,cashew nuts,raisin,chillies and curry leaves.
In a small pan take some oil add sesame seeds,mustard seeds once it starts popping at turmeric powder,chilli powder ,dhaniya powder and garam masala to it.

Mix this with corn flakes and rice kripies mixture in a big pan and mix it well on top of a grill/frame range.

Its Ready to eat :)
